MM 8/28/17 Good morning staff, I want to thank everyone who made our first staff picnic possible from the past weekend. It was great to see all of the  smiling faces and interaction with the JSA staff.  We had a wonderful time socializing  and flying down slides, playing corn hole game, and listening to some good times.  The event was the first of several planned culture building events for the year.    As we set out for the week, please make sure that we are following our learning maps  and close to our pacing guides. MM 8/20/17 Good evening staff, we just finished off a very productive week. I want to say thank you for the flexibility of the staff and we are off to a great start in enforcing JSA policies. Administration greatly appreciates the students learning the policy of JAG Bucks, P.A.W.S., classroom procedures, high expectations, and rules. We will be walking through classrooms looking for the "I Can" statements and standards that are being taught. We encourage the staff to continue to review policies and procedures on an as needed basis. We strongly encourage everyone to RSVP and attend the 1st annual JSA Staff Picnic this upcoming weekend. We understand the importance of standards based instruction and the importance of teaching is to teach the subject in a manner where it is impossible to get the answers wrong. Our video from the week is from the founder of Khan Academy. Grade Chair Staff Members 2018 Good evening, listed below are the grade level chairs who will be ...

MICHAELS MEMO 8/14/17      Good evening staff, I hope that everyone survived their first official school weekend. I was very proud of how smooth the first two days of school went with everyone chipping in for morning and afternoon duty. I was also very encouraged with the classroom walk throughs that administration viewed on the first week. Students were allowed to review the procedures, rules, and engage in some activities that will assist in establishing relationships here at JSA Magnet. The students were very encouraged to be back on campus and we hope to continue to stoke the flames of learning throughout the year with engaging, collaborative, and innovative lessons that keep us pushing forward into becoming an A school. The positive cultures that are being established right now will pay huge dividends as the year progresses. Classroom culture can help you to take students on journeys and adventures that they never thought would be possible. Remember that you ar...
