Michael's Memo 5/22/17 Good Morning, we have 10 days to continue to make an impact. I want to start the Memo off with a HUGE Congratulations to our 3rd grade Team. The scores came in for FSA and they increased by 12 points. This is a huge feat and I want everyone of our teachers to receive a Great job from their colleagues today. This is an excellent example of the power instructors have to make an impact on their students' lives. The crop of students did not have very high expectations of their performance on the FSA. Despite the consternation of the FSA outcomes, student progress went up tremendously with teachers that didn't flinch in the face of adversity brought on by expectations and continued to do their very best. I commend our teachers and would like for everyone to take this approach moving forward as we strive to improve JSA Magnet School. MICHAEL'S MEMO  Good evening, I would like to say thank you to all of our staff for all of the hard work put forth in each grade level to prepare our students for the assessment season. Everyone places a hand and has a level of influence on the outcomes of all of our students. We will embark on another assessment season starting Tuesday. We will be welcoming our students for FSA with banners and signs for FSA on Tuesday. It's important that we stay positive and build up our students and serve as their cheerleaders. Build up students' self confidence through your instructional practices allowing the students the opportunity to believe in themselves to accomplish any goal. MM 4/23/18 Good morning staff, Let’s continue the journey of learning by ensuring that we are maximizing classroom instructional time with data based instruction. Utilize your formative assessments to tier student workloads. Advanced with more advanced assignments, not longer or more problems. Reduction with specific work to address the deficiency. Let’s make sure we are providing the proper care to our patients. Curriculum Update MTSS meeting this Thursday, please update your information in GOOGLE Classroom. Active facilitating and learning should take place in every classroom. Literacy Night is Tuesday 4/24/18 3:30-5:30 come out and enjoy!
